Sunil Ambris was bowled by Theusara Perera’s Inniswinger when he scored 10 runs in the first over of the West Indies in the fourth over. With West Indies recovering, Hope had a wrong call on a single, which resulted in Darren Bravo (1) running out and ending a promising partnership.

The hosts lifted the West Indies to 172-5 with Roston Chase (4 for 5) in the third wicket. Sri Lanka left-hander Ishuru Udana picked up three quick wickets to reduce the visitors to 26-to in the 8th over. It was Hope’s ninth ODI century.

Tylanders Chemo Paul (unbeaten 52) and Hayden Walsh (unbeaten 21) scored 49 in their last 20 deliveries.

Udana took 3-82. Karunaratne and Abhisheka Fernando got off to a great start in Sri Lanka, scoring two half-centuries and 3 runs.

At Karunaratne (12 off 5 off), Jason reviewed the success of the decision against Holder and pulled the wicketkeeper to the next ball. Fernando (1) was out behind Simor Alzary Joseph.

Sri Lanka went down to 253-7 to take the batsman, and led his team to victory. Joseph finished with figures 3-4-2 and Paul 2-48.
